Full-time, year-round work
Work Locations:
918 McKenzie Rd, Abbotsford, BC V2S 7N5
Dig, cut, and transplants
Mix and prepare soil for planting
Plant strawberry, herbs, cucumbers, sunflower seeds/seedlings
Transplant seedlings or rooted cuttings
Assist in grafting activities, whenever necessary
Prune plants, including removal of shoots with mildew, if there is any
Install plant support system and tie plants to supports, as needed
Water and tend to plant as directed
Maintain, clean, and store farm tools after use
Report signs of insect or diseasedamage
Cut/prepare harvested fruits, herbs, vegetables, etc.
Prepare plants for winter storage
Prepare orders as instructed
Regulate indoor/outdoor watering systems and Important Company temperatures, as instructed
Report to and follow directions of supervisor
Keep plant beds free of weeds that compete with the plant's growth
Other general farm duties as assigned.
Wages:
$ for 40 hrs. weekly
Work Setting:
On-farm, Abbotsford, BC
Job Requirements:
No Education required
No Specific Language required
No Experience required, training will be provided
Must have enough stamina to handle the job
Heavy lifting required
Ability to work long hours, early mornings, and weekends is required
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
