Accounting Student & Bookkeeping Assistant

We are looking for an Accounting Student to join us as a Bookkeeping Assistant and support a range of billing, bookkeeping and accounting tasks as we develop creative and robust solutions to our bookkeeping and accounting needs. You will be working with an existing Bookkeeper and management team in Kelowna, BC. We have a large customer base with a number of billing scenarios along with internal accounts and payroll to manage.
So who are RefundPros? We are a software service company, located in Kelowna's Cultural District, that helps businesses recover the money they are owed from Amazon and the national shipping carriers ((url removed)).
**Responsibilities**:
Automated and manual customer billing (Stripe, eTransfer, etc.) Supporting bank reconciliation Assisting bookkeeper with end of year accounting (trial balance, liaising with accountant, journal entries etc.) Assisting the bookkeeper with the reporting and administration of installments and payments (CRA,WorkSafeBC etc.) Liaising with customers (accounting queries, billing etc.)
**Requirements**:
Currently studying for (or completed) an accounting degree or diploma (or equivalent) Previous bookkeeping experience Previous full cycle payroll experience Proficiency with MS Excel and Google Sheets (able to create and use complex formulas and functions) Excellent verbal and written communication skills Able to provide a criminal record check
Nice To Have
Experience with QuickBooks (particularly QB online) Familiarity with the Stripe payments platform Experience billing customers in foreign currencies Customer service experience Experience dealing with accounts related customer service issues
