We are seeking an **Accounting Student** for our **Melloy Industrial Services Inc.** district, in our **Nisku, AB office** that is available** **for **8 months starting in May 2024**. This position will be under the direct supervision of the Accounting Manager**.**
Here's how a(n) Accounting Student for our Edmonton Melloy office contributes to our team:
**Responsibilities**:
- Full Cycle Accounts Payable
- Entering invoices into the PCL accounting system
- Bank reconciliations
- Inter-company invoicing
- Courier and phone costing
- Running and updating various reports
- Reconciling supplier statements
- Visa card reconciliations
- Preparing accounts receivable report
- Weekly cheque printing
- Client progress billings
- Subcontract administration
- Creation and management of Ad Hoc Reports
- Miscellaneous support to Accounting team
**Qualifications**:
- Currently enrolled in an Accounting diploma/degree program.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Ability to perform multiple projects effectively in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Working Conditions:
- This role may require nightshifts from time to time;
the successful applicant must be willing to work at night.
- Public transportation is not available for this position so the successful applicant must have their own vehicle.
