We encourage creative and innovative thinking and welcome candidates who are not afraid to challenge the status quo.What you’ll be working onResearch actuarial issues, methods and solutions to support business strategy developmentProvide support to team members to aid in development of the teamCommunicate and collaborate with internal stakeholders to support the delivery of actuarial programsContribute to projects that enhance the teams actuarial capabilities and business outcomesConduct data analysis to identify trends and patterns within large data setsWhat we’re looking for you to haveRecent completion or nearing completion of your education in a relevant program such as actuarial sciences, math, finance, economics or statistics. Advanced mathematical and programming skillsEffective written and verbal communication skillsProven research, analysis and decision-making skillsAbility to develop innovative solutionsOrganizational skills with ability to manage competing prioritiesKnowledge of spreadsheet, database and word processing softwareIf you are applying for a position which is open to applicants across Canada, unless otherwise indicated in the position, language proficiency in English is required for communicating with customers, advisors, or employees across Canada.Nice to haveCompletion of a minimum of two exams through the Society of Actuaries or Canadian Institute of ActuariesCommitment to attain Associate designation through the Society of Actuaries and/or Canadian Institute of ActuariesBeyond the salaryFor regular full-time positions, Empire Life offers a comprehensive total rewards package that includes:
