Leduc Co-op Ltd. is hiring a Agro Manager/Agronomist at our Agro Facility in Calmar, AB.
**Who we are**:
**What you’ll do**:
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Assist with the operations of an Agro Facility, consisting of a fertilizer plant, chemicals, bins, &
farm equipment.
- Develop, coordinate, and implement a customer communication plan, providing our customers with relevant, accurate information on agronomy, products, and services available at Leduc Co-op.
- To organize, direct and coordinate the sales activity to ensure an acceptable standard is achieved, including purchasing of materials and all the way to deliveries to customers.
- Support and maintain a contact program through visiting customers in their respective workplace.
- Deliver on field activities required and communicate results effectively to customers and ways to improve on their operations.
- To act as a liaison between our customers and suppliers.
- To grow the Agro Department to the position of a one stop area for customers.
- To maintain and lead a culture of safety through adherence to company standards for health and safety, loss prevention, and environmental due diligence.
- And all related duties as required.

**Who you are**:
You are looking for a career in Retail Store Operations and:
- You have a minimum of high school, and a related post secondary diploma/degree in the Agricultural field. A professional designation is an asset.
- Related work experience may be considered in lieu of post secondary education.
- Related managerial experience an asset.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- The ability to work independently, and as part of a team.
- Must be creative and resourceful.
- Must be highly motivated.
- Will look at making this a career path, to grow the Agro Department.
- Must hold a valid driving license, with TDG endorsement.
- Good understanding of all aspects of a farming operation, both grains and animals.
- Must be able to travel to various farms/towns to meet with customers.
