The Technical Analyst is responsible for ensuring the system performs as required in order to support the day to day activities and tasks performed by the City’s business areas.
With a focus on the City of Edmonton’s Cultural Commitments to Safe, Helpful, Accountable, Integrated and Excellent, you will:
- Perform complex end-to-end delivery/design and maintenance for SAP ERP systems within the scope of expertise
- Execute operational projects and planned enhancements as determined by senior levels or project managers
- Actively maintain recognised expert level knowledge in one or more identifiable specialisms
- Lead and assist in the definition, development and management of technical requirements
- Assess and analyze release components
- Lead and assist in the configuration of software and the systems testing of platform-specific versions of one or more software products
- Create traceability records, from test cases back to requirements
- Prioritize and diagnose incidents according to agreed procedures
- Use available resources to update knowledge of any relevant field and curate a personal collection of relevant material
- Additional related duties as required
**Qualifications**:
- Degree in Information Technology, Computing Science or a related discipline and 4 years relevant experience;
**OR**:
- Post secondary diploma in a related discipline and 5 years relevant experience;
**OR**:
- 1 year related certificate and 7 years relevant experience
- Technical experience in a computing environment similar to the City of Edmonton's:
- Application support experience in SAP ERP is required
- Experience using/working with an IT Service Management system (e.G. BMC Remedy) is required
- Experience in S/4 HANA ABAP, SuccessFactors, SAP Finance, SAP HCM, SAP CRM and related modules
- SAP HANA, Fiori and Solution Manager experience or certification would be an asset
- SAP Business Technology Platform - Cloud Integration (BTP-CI) experience would be an asset
- Canadian Information Processing Society's I.S.P. (Information Systems Professional) certification is desirable
- Certifications in SAP, Java, JavaScript, Python, C#, PowerShell, REST/SOAP, JSON, JQuery, Crystal, XtraReports, ORACLE / PLSQL are assets
- Other technology specific certifications and diplomas related to the work are considered an asset
- Experience with Oracle Database Administration, SQL, Windows XP/7, Unix and VMWare would be considered an asset
- Knowledge in ORACLE / PLSQL would be considered an asset
- Excellent communication, organizational, problem resolution, and interpersonal skills with a strong focus on customer service
- Excellent technical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Understanding of performance monitoring tools and procedures, and automated testing procedures would be an asset.
- Ability to manage priorities and workloads, balancing both team and individual responsibilities

33.75 hours per week;
Monday to Friday
The weekly hours of work for this position are currently under review and may change at a future time. Any changes will be made in accordance with the City of Edmonton/Civic Service Union 52 collective agreement and the incumbent will be notified in advance.
**Salary**:
$48.106 - $61.389 (Hourly) ;
$84,750.750 - $108,152.070 (Annually)
