**Job Purpose**:
The Baker &
Pastry Cook position leads the line for baked goods, pastries, and quick breads. Bakers report to the Executive Chef, Executive Sous Chef, and Chef de Cuisine. This position is required to be versatile and responsive to the tasks the team needs in producing the highest quality dishes and service.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Working as part of a close team to create dishes guests will love while delivering consistent, quality service.
- Managing baked goods inventory and developing production schedules.
- Mixing, scaling, and preparing all baked goods orders.
- Being organized and having everything in its place so you can respond to orders in a timely and orderly way.
- Working in a fast-paced environment that is clean, tidy, and safe.
- Shares a deep love of food and the belief in its ability to motivate, inspire, educate and entertain.
- Being part of a team of positive, high achievers who care about their guests and the company they are representing.
- Such other and unrelated duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Employer.
**Education, Skills and Qualifications**:
- 2-3 years of kitchen experience, ideally in a catering and events environment.
- Experience with all kitchen equipment and practices, especially those required for baking and pastry.
- Food Safe certification required.
- Valid Class 5 drivers license (an asset).
- Ability to follow recipes accurately while always keeping quality top of mind.
- Understanding of the quick breads process and yeast leavened products.
- Creative and passion for making new items and flavours.
- Strong organizational skills, work ethic and team player mentality.
**Position Details**:
Permanent, Full-Time &
