**PASAJ Commissary** produces a wide range of pastries and breads for our 2 stores:
PASAJ (Brunch Restaurant), SIMIT&
CHAI (Bagel Shop) and wholesale customers. We pride ourselves in making everything from scratch. We're the only producers of Simit (Turkish Bagel) in Toronto.
**Responsibilities**:
- Opening the bakery and prepare daily morning pastries and breads according to the production schedule (earliest shifts start at 7 am)
- Weighing ingredients, mixing/portioning/shaping dough according to the recipes
- Proofing, glazing, decorating products
- Adjust oven temperatures to ensure proper baking
- Maintaining cleaning schedules
Requirements and Skills
- Experience as a Baker, Pastry Chef or similar role
- Familiarity with all professional kitchen equipment, including mixers, blenders and dough sheeters
- Understanding of food safety practices
- Experience with cake decoration techniques and bread making
- Excellent time-management skills
- Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work in early morning shifts
- Certification from a culinary school is a plus
**Job Types**:

Part-time hours:
20-30 per week
