Barricading & Traffic Control Labourers

Traffic Control Labourers to work seasonally in a full-time capacity, in various locations throughout Edmonton.Responsibilities:
- Direct and control traffic flow in construction zones
- Perform duties in a safe manner at all times
- Load and unload construction materials around the worksite
- Use shovels and other hand tools to rake and shovel earth to specifications
- Perform duties safety around mobile equipment with a high sense of safety awareness while performing work. Other duties as requiredQualifications:
- Prior experience in traffic control will be an asset
- Prior experience in the construction industry, preferably municipal road building is highly desirable
- Ability to work continuously for prolonged periods of time under pressure is required
- Must possess a valid class 5 driver’slicense with a clean drivers abstract
- Attention to detail and ability to follow directions is required
- Ability to consistently communicate in a courteous and professional manner is required
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and stand for long hours is required
- Willingness and ability to work extended hours and weekends.Additional Information:
- This is a seasonal position and is eligible for over-time
