Our ideal candidate has a precise understanding of structural drawings and is enthusiastic about leading projects, mentoring junior technicians, and working collaboratively as part of a team.WHAT YOU’LL BE DOINGHave a deep understanding of architectural and structural drawingsDevelop structural design drawings and 3D models according to Aspect’s project quality standardsLead and execute BIM projects of all sizesPrepare design submissions and other technical documentsBe proficient with Revit model and drawing production)Be proficient in family and parameter management and developmentPerform detailed drafting under the supervision of the principal-in-chargeBe able to work on projects that require creating and solving complex geometryContribute to the team’s technical knowledge resources as well as mentor junior BIM techniciansCollaborate with team members across other offices in a fast-paced and dynamic environmentBe involved in ongoing communication and coordination with contractors, other consultants, and suppliersContribute to a fun and welcoming work environment.WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED4 to 6+ years experience in a similar position with a background in commercial, residential, and/or institutional projects.Technical degree/diploma/certificate from a related programMastery in reading, interpreting, and producing structural engineering plans and detailsStrong Revit skills, including family modification and model and parameter managementA keen eye for aesthetics and an appreciation for clear and well-coordinated drawingsEffective at engaging with clients and colleagues through ZoomAbility to self-motivate and work independently, seeking support as necessaryExcellent communication skills and a keen eye for detailDemonstrated success in people leadership and collaborationEXTRA AWESOMEExperience with architecturally expressive structures in a wide variety of building materialsBackground in CAD/CAM fabrication softwareExperience with Dynamo, Rhino, Grasshopper, or other parametric modeling experienceExperience with BIM360A unique skill or hobby that you would love to share with the team.A BIT MORE INFORMATION ABOUT ASPECTASPECT Structural Engineers is a globally acclaimed, full-service structural engineering firm and mass timber consultancy.Founded in 2016, we are now a cohesive team of more than 50 engineers, technicians, and support staff.
