Join the National Capital Region’s oldest and premier multi-sport club as our Bookkeeping Administrative Assistant!
As a largely volunteer-run, non-profit and community-based organization, ONEC is driven by an engaged and social membership across its four sports (tennis, sailing, rowing, and paddling), attracting individuals of all backgrounds, ages, and skill-levels. You can be part of the team that will help guide the Club through an exciting transition in 2023 and 2024 to newly renovated facilities in the historic ONEC Boathouse on the Ottawa River.
We are seeking an individual who is outgoing, motivated, bilingual, and has experience in bookkeeping, administration, and communications.
This is a hybrid position, with 50% on-site at the pavilion, and with 50% work-from-home!

Under the direction of the ONEC Club Manager, the Bookkeeping Administrative Assistant performs a wide range of duties, including the following:
Office and financial administration:
Provide clerical and administrative support to the ONEC Club Manager. File electronic copies of correspondence, invoices, completed forms for membership, lessons and camps, and other material, according to established procedures. Assist with financial management activities, as directed by the ONEC Club Manager, including making entries into QuickBooks accounting software. In collaboration with the ONEC Club Manager, prepare and update staff work schedules in a timely manner and enter data into PayWorks. Process any new membership and camp registrations, renewals, registrations for courses and lessons (e.G. tennis lessons, Learn to Row, etc.), or requests for boat rackage and mooring that are received, and enter and update information in the WIX system as required. Ensure that personal information and records are stored and handled in a secure manner, in keeping with established guidelines on privacy and confidentiality. Update and ensure the accuracy of lists of members, non-members registered for sport lessons, day camp participants, etc. In conjunction with the waterfront sports directors, input member data into national/provincial sport association databases. In conjunction with the waterfront sports directors, ensure that members have access to the boat reservation system and that the system is up to date.
Communications:
Pavilion:
Assist pavilion staff members in their duties when required. Customer Service:
Interacting with members, reserving courts, serving food and beverages at the bar. Maintenance:
Court maintenance (red clay courts), groundskeeping.
Assets:
Bilingualism. Excellent communication, customer relations and interpersonal skills. Experience working in a sports club office. Demonstrated ability to work as a team member. Sense of initiative and ability to work without supervision. Ontario Smart Serve
