**Business Intelligence Analyst (12 Month Contract)**
**Job Description**:
- Collaborate as part of a team of analysts to devise strategies, alternatives, and recommendations for effective delivery of business solutions that meet stakeholder needs, leveraging business intelligence and emerging technologies.
- Support cross functional stakeholders by providing analytical support and recommendations through the design, build and operationalization of business intelligence and emerging technologies.
- Builds strong internal customer relationships with colleagues, key stakeholders, and business leaders to proactively understand strategic objectives within all areas of the business.
- Synthesizes large amounts of data to identify key trends and presents the results in a logical and concise manner effectively to stakeholders.
- Supports the analysis and ongoing continuous improvement of datasets, including connection points across all channels, such as social media platforms, website/mobile, etc.
- Contributes to organizational effectiveness through the development, analysis, and implementation of business intelligence and emerging technologies initiatives.
- Actively seeks out external benchmarks and best practices to improve our competitive advantage.
**Qualifications**:
- A university degree, college diploma or certification in a related field with knowledge of best practices employed by the IIBA and BABOK.
- 3+ years of experience business analysis or related field
- Advanced knowledge of MS reporting tool or equivalent BI reporting suite.
- Proven ability to coach and mentor on technical solutions.
- Intermediate knowledge of business analysis and design techniques;
including strong understanding of the Microsoft Power Platform
- Microsoft certifications considered an asset:
Power Platform Fundamentals, MS Power BI
- Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, facilitation and influencing skills.
- Process related certification/designation or commitment to complete. Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen
- Demonstrated ability to translate technical solutions into non-technical details.
- Knowledge of SQL or any database query language
- Excellent organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced PC skills, Microsoft Excel, Word, Access.
