What You’ll Do
- Ensure compliance with the company's travel policies, procedures, regulations, and guidelines.
- Effective partnering with internal business units (HR, Finance and Operations) and strategic suppliers/vendors (airlines, hotels, train, car rental services, etc).
- Develop and present pricing and service options for large purchases (hotel room blocks, airline ticket blocks, corporate events, etc.), including saving analysis, vendor offering comparisons, and solution recommendations.
- Negotiate prices, terms and conditions, and services, including contract reviews.
- Develop complex domestic/international itineraries for multiple regions involving multiple destinations and complex scheduling.
- Ensuring that cost-effectiveness, time efficiency and safety are at the forefront of all bookings.
- Aiding with documentary requirements for travel and visa support.
- Navigate changing travel rules and regulations.
- Complying with the travel policy and congregating necessary approvals before making travel arrangements for employees.
- Identifying future travel needs and proactively making accommodations arrangements, being cost-efficient (annual corporate events), and handling group travel as requested.
- Dealing with any complaints related to global business travel and escalating them if necessary.
- Submit Corporate Credit Card expenses in Workday ERP (locating receipts and approvals for each transaction from credit card statement).
- Assist in relocating overseas hires to Canada, i.E. LMIA employees (flights, public transportation, medical insurance, long-term rental accommodations).
- Ensure all billable travel is followed up and billed accordingly.
Experience You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant.
- Minimum of 2 years in the travel/hospitality industry (or relevant industry). Experience in business travel account management is an asset.
- Experience with business travel tools such as Sabre, Concur, Egencia and/or any other tools GDS/Travel Management tools is an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrates the ability to manage multiple project deliverables on multiple projects effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, strong negotiation experience, comfort with C-level interaction, proactive, customer and solution-driven attitude
- Demonstrate the ability to function in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
