Schédio spaces inc. - Vancouver
new offer (27/04/2024)

job description

**WHO WE ARE**:
We are a fully incorporated medium and successful Design + Build company based in Vancouver British Columbia run by a dynamic wife + husband team. We work in high-end homes and condos, reimagining spaces and creating custom builds and full-scale renovations for our clients.
We already have one full crew established and want to develop a second crew so we can run multiple jobs sites at the same time, and occasionally have more hands-on deck for larger-scale jobs. The Carpentry Assistant is responsible for ensuring that required quality standards are met for every project and that tasks are completed in a safe and timely manner. We are looking for long term employees who can grow with the company - we have big plans! We work hard and have very high standards in quality, but we also have a fun team and like to keep the vibe light while working.
You will have a direct manager to report to and who will give you an overview of what the job entails and answer any questions you may have, but some of the general work you can expect to do is as follows:

- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements
- Follow shop drawings accurately and complete projects within the timeline allotted

- Assist in handling large sheets of materials.

- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs mouldings and hardware

- Maintain a good working relationship with the team, sub-contractors and regulatory authorities.
- Be in communication with the Team Lead about work progress and any issues that may arise.
- Load, unload and transport construction materials
A driver’s license is a must, with the ability to drive standard as our work truck is a manual.
