Join us in our mission to elevate patient care and contribute to the well-being of our community.Full time/Day shift37.5-40 hrs/weekContract agreementObligations and functionsContribute as a member of the Cardiology teamAid in medical education initiatives with the patientObtain focused health history and physical examination as appropriateDetailed and meticulous documentationUnder the physician supervision deliver clinical servicesDirect patient care involving communicating with patients over video or phone if neededReview of medical reports, procedural clinical documentation using electronic medical record system Conduct evaluations and address clinical issues through troubleshooting as neededFormulate a treatment and management plan based on assessment and investigation results, availability of services and special needs of patientCollecting and interpreting data about the health of patients and symptom managementTake on the responsibility of delivering comprehensive healthcare to diverse patient groups in CardiologyRecognize suitable community resources and services for support and assistanceEncourage collaborative efforts among healthcare professionals to coordinate care plans effectivelyManage the processing, screening and analysis of laboratory, diagnostic tests and all Cardiology related reportsAttend to bringing patients to designated rooms. Conduct vitals, blood pressure, weigh, electrocardiogram procedures as necessaryProviding information to patients as directed by the PhysicianExcellent experience with MS Office (Microsoft Word and Excel)Other duties assigned by the Physician depending on skill and clinic needWorking and communicating with various team membersRespect for patient confidentiality and awareness of issues. Being cognizant of Power of Attorney and Power of Health is crucial when engaging with other family members Comply to all standards of practice in regard to PIPEDAEMR understanding preferable (Cerebrum, Clinical Connect, HRM,Olis)Adhering to office health and safety, disinfection control, PPE and quality control when requiredExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and family members, as well as members of the multidisciplinary teamAbility to contribute to patient care with a focus on ensuring quality and safetyAcademic background and credentialsPhysician Assistant (CCPA) Membership with the Canadian Association of the Physician AssistantsCertified with the Canadian Association of the Physician AssistantsCertified or eligible to be certified through the Physician Assistant’s Certification Council (PACC) or National commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)Certification in ACLS/BCLSRequired to have maintain professional liability insurance ?BenefitsContinuing education opportunitiesProfessional development supportTo apply for this position, please submit your CV.
