**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Operate and monitor computerized control systems and related equipment
In a Class 4 Biological nutrient removal wastewater plant.
- Start-up and shut down wastewater treatment facilities as well as making periodical operation checks of
Plant and sewage lift stations equipment such as pumping systems, chemical feeders, auxiliary
Equipment, quality monitoring and control systems.
- Collect representative wastewater samples and perform laboratory tests on samples for sewage lift and
Treatment facilities as required to monitor the collection and treatment processes to meet the City’s Permit
To Operate requirements.
- Make periodical operation checks of sewage lifts and treatment plant equipment such as pumping
Systems, chemical feeders, auxiliary equipment, measuring and control systems.
- Assist with preventive maintenance, such as lubrication, operating adjustments, cleaning, and painting
Equipment.
- Perform corrective maintenance on plant mechanical equipment (i.E. chemical feed pump, analyzers, and
Small mechanical units).
