The normal work schedule is on a rotation of 6 weeks:
3 weeks worked (77 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 3 weeks of rest.

**responsibilities**
Reporting to the Chemist, the Laboratory Technician is in charge of the operations for the chemical analysis of base metals and precious metals. The incumbent’s main responsibilities are:
- Prepares solutions required to conduct laboratory analyses, perform the spectroscopic analyzes by MP-AES;
- Performs digestion of samples (Microwave assisted acid digestion);
- Perform fire assay operations (fusion, cupellation, silver beads digestion);
- Ensures basic maintenance of analysis equipment;
- Help with sample preparation when needed;
- Performs tasks asper analysis procedures and standards related to health and safety, hygiene and the environment.
**Qualifications**
- Diploma of collegial studies (DEC) in a related field (Specialization in analysis) or relevant experience;
- 0-2 years of experience in a similar position;
- Experience in sulfide ore analysis by fire lead assay;
- Experience in spectroscopy (MP-AES and AAS).
**Assets**
- Bilingual (French and English).
- Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
