This position offers an exciting opportunity within an innovative, employee-oriented company!The CNC Programmer is responsible for reading and interpreting technical blueprints, inputting the design specifications and adjusting the machine cutting paths to produce parts.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Read, interpret and follow basic diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bill of materials, and other instructions or procedures to accurately fabricate materials and equipment.Coordinate with other manufacturing facilities to ensure that programming approach is consistent across locations and that programs are optimized for manufacturing at other facilitiesInputting the product design into the computer modeling software.Choosing and loading the correct cutting tools for the job.Adjusting machine settings to the desired product specifications.Troubleshooting issues during the manufacturing process.Ability to train new staff on machine operation procedures.Comply with all safety, quality and work rules, guidelines and regulations.Keep your supervisor informed of problems, progress and suggestions in a timely manner.Design modifications from the floor markups and update the metal and bus packagesA strong Mechanical aptitude, detail oriented and good analytical skills are a mustPerforms other duties which may be required by supervisor.COMPETENCIES:
Ability to work independentlyStrong attention to detailKnowledge of metal shop workSkilled at troubleshootingProficient computer skills are a mustExtensive experience with computer modeling software such as SolidWorksKnowledge of Amada AP100 &
VPSS3i preferredEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED requiredMinimum 1-2 years of experience as a CNC programmer required
