Our mission is to alleviate the personal and social consequences of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias and to promote research.Our ValuesCollaboration Accountability Respect ExcellenceCoordinator, Corporate and Community Engagement (Maternity Leave)Reporting to the Manager, Corporate and Community Engagement, the Coordinator, Corporate and Community Engagement is responsible for coordinating the planning and execution of ASC’s Walk for Alzheimer’s (WFA) signature event, supporting provincial and local WFA partners, participants, and donors, and providing peer-to-peer fundraising platform training, coaching, tools, and resources.The Coordinator, Corporate and Community Engagement is also responsible for coordinating the planning and execution of ASC’s third-party fundraising program and helping increase revenue by responding to general and technical third-party fundraising enquiries and providing fundraisers with the resources and tools that support their success. In addition, the Coordinator, Corporate and Community Engagement is responsible for providing general support for and ensuring data capture and reporting of Corporate and Community Engagement fundraising activities.What You’ll be DoingSignature event fundraising – Walk for Alzheimer’s (WFA)Coordinate the planning and execution of WFA in collaboration with the Manager, Corporate and Community Engagement including the annual business plan and budgetLead the implementation of WFA logistics including working closely with the ASC Marketing &
Communications team, external agencies, and suppliers to produce WFA collateral and materials and ensure all print and online components are executed according to planCoordinate identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities for national sponsors in collaboration with the Manager, Corporate and Community Engagement, including meetings, sponsorship agreements, proposals, pitch decks, regular updates, and sponsorship fulfilment reportsCoordinate content on the federation-wide intranet to ensure staff committees have access to up-to-date reports, tools, and resourcesProvide ongoing service and support to provincial WFA leads, volunteer chairs, participants, and donors online and by phone by responding in a timely manner, escalating to the Manager, Corporate and Community Engagement as neededWork closely with the ASC Digital Solutions team to manage, evaluate, and enhance WFA’s online peer-to-peer fundraising platform including developing and reviewing contentDevelop, coordinate, and continuously improve online peer-to-peer fundraising training resources for provincial and local SocietiesResolve peer-to-peer fundraising technical support issues of partners, participants, and donorsCoordinate the annual evaluation of WFA including developing site evaluation template and reporting processes, conducting evaluation survey, collecting federation-wide data and metrics, allocating sponsorship funds across the federation, assessing event effectiveness, identifying opportunities to enhance WFA and grow revenue, and implementing changesThird-party fundraisingCoordinate the planning and execution of third-party fundraising in collaboration with the Manager, Corporate and Community Engagement including the annual business plan and budgetCoordinate the development and maintenance of third-party fundraising resources and tools including event starter kit, ASC logo usage guidelines, peer-to-peer fundraising platform, and fundraising portals and/or donation pagesField external calls and email enquiries regarding third-party fundraising and maintain relationships with third-party fundraisers by responding to general and technical enquiries in a timely manner, escalating to the Manager, Corporate and Community Engagement as neededCoordinate identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities for third-party fundraisers in collaboration with the Manager, Corporate and Community Engagement, including meetings, third-party fundraising agreements, proposals, presentations, regular updates, and stewardship reports.Research and identify third-party fundraising opportunities and make recommendations to the Manager, Corporate and Community EngagementCoordinate the annual evaluation of third-party fundraising, and identify opportunities to enhance the program, and implements changesGeneral fundraising support Support the Senior Director and Manager Annual Giving and Manager, Corporate and Community Engagement by applying corporate engagement guidelines, and Foundation ApplicationsPrepare presentation materials for meetings with corporate and community relationships including pitch decks and proposalsTrack and monitor all corporate and community engagement deliverables (e.G., logo placement, social media posts, employee engagement activities, annual reports) and associated deadlinesEnsure corporate and community engagement relationship deliverables remain on budget and that funds are allocated appropriatelyEnsure all corporate and community relationship identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship information, correspondence and activities recorded and tracked in Raiser’s EdgeEnsure all corporate and community engagement revenue is coded accurately and recorded in Raiser’s EdgeEnsure corporate and community relationships are included in the prospect identification and clearance processGenerate and distribute corporate and community engagement fundraising reportsSupport the Director, Corporate and Major Gifts by composing and/or editing a variety of documents including funding proposals, briefing notes, thank you letters, stewardship reports, and/or sensitive and confidential correspondenceSchedule meetings, prepare and distribute meeting agendas and related materials, and attend meetings to record minutesAssist with other duties as assigned in order to meet overall goals and objectivesYour Qualifications and EducationCompletion of post-secondary education in fundraising, event management, marketing, project management, or other related program of studyMinimum three years professional experience in event and/or third-party fundraising coordination with demonstrated success in project executionEquivalent combination of education and experience will be consideredExperience and commitment to excellence in customer service in supporting partners, volunteers, and donorsExcellent interpersonal, listening, and relationship building skills demonstrating a collaborative approach with a willingness to engage constructively with internal and external stakeholdersNatural curiosity and drive to investigate and resolve issuesStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to communicate proficiently in French is an assetExceptional organizational skills and the ability to coordinate multiple projects within tightly prescribed timelinesAbility to work within and meet deadlines in a face paced environment with conflicting priorities and ability to adapt to changeStrong Current driver’s license and use of a car is required.
