If you dream of joining an organization that is small enough for you to be noticed, but big enough to provide you with a meaningful career, then we want to hear from you!Job DescriptionThe House of Commons Parliamentary Precinct Operations is currently looking to staff the Coordinator, Transportation and Fleet Management Services position.As part of this team, you will coordinate the daily operations of the trucks and shuttle bus service on and adjacent to the Parliamentary Precinct for Members of Parliament and House administration employees.More specifically, you will assist in maintaining an effective shuttle bus and delivery service for Members of Parliament and the House Administration and be responsible for the coordination of all operational support inquiries and requests directed to Transportation and Fleet Management Services through the Parliamentary Delivery Services (PDS) system, including ad hoc requests directed to Transportation and Fleet Management Services. A secondary school diploma OR an acceptable combination of education, training and relevant experiences;
Professional valid provincial drivers’ license:
Class “DZ” and “F” (Ontario) or Class “3FM” and “4B” (Quebec);
Recertification (every 5years) for air brake (Z endorsement) and buses license (F-) in the Province of Ontario.Experiences:
Recent experience in driving a single-axle truck with a minimum vehicle gross weight of 4,500 kilograms;
Experience in applying safe driving procedure;
Experience in performingroutine maintenance on vehicles and complete the associated reports;
Experience in providing client services and work cooperatively with colleagues;
Knowledge, understandingand application of established techniques and procedures including materiel handling, health and safety measures, service guidelines, transportation of handicapped persons and of dangerous cargo;
