We are searching for Temporary Part-time Daily Living Assistants (Continuing Care Assistant) to join our Parkland at the Lakes Phase 2 team based in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. These positions begin in as soon as possible and have an approximate end date of September, 2023 or January, 2024 with the possibility of being kept on as a permanent employee.

**Approximate hourly wage**:
$18.73-$25.23

About the Opportunity
Assists residents with hygiene and daily living activities, such as:
bathing, dressing, oral care, skin care, meals, and mobilizing according to the work assignment;
Assists in the provision of social, spiritual, and intellectual activities for residents;
Cleans resident rooms, server and household common areas;
Administers resident medications as assigned under the direction of the Resident Services Coordinator/Manager and in accordance with Physician orders following all medication management policies and guidelines;
Completing all duties in a way which is consistent with Shannex’s Philosophy of Service:

Communicates and reports relevant information regarding resident care or safety to Supervisor.
About You
You have a valid Personal Support Worker Diploma or Certificate.
You are registered in Nova Scotia’s CCA registry as per the Continuing Care Assistants Registry Act
You are able work a schedule of flexible hours and shifts inclusive of days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
You have a clear criminal record with vulnerable sector screening.
We consider any previous course in Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care to be an asset.
A valid CPR &
First Aid Certificationis an asset.
