As a Data Transformation Specialist you will help build, scale and maintain MPI’s business intelligence and data science platform. You will scale the corporation’s cloud and on-premises infrastructure, improve tools used by analysts and data scientists, streamline data feeds processes and help improve data quality. You will play a key role in elevating the business intelligence and data science delivery by building reliable pipelines and infrastructure to help the team improve modelling efficiency and consistency of data.ResponsibilitiesContribute to data pipelines by implementing a solid, robust, extensible design that supports key business flows.Perform data transformations to populate data-hub, data-lake, data warehouse, reporting databases and downstream data marts.Identify technical requirements and deliver solutions by establishing efficient design and programming patterns that meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and help manage the data platform.Find trends in data sets and develop algorithms to help make raw data more useful to the enterprise.Design, integrate and document technical components for seamless data extraction and analysis.Present insights on data and its quality via presentations, visualizations and whitepapers.Work with business stakeholders to establish an understanding of the business and determine the data needs of the business. Communicate challenges and requirements to subject matter experts and clients, providing clear objectives over estimated timeline.QualificationsDegree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical discipline.Five years of progressive experience performing relevant data transformation and engineering work, including - three years of related experience in general data management, such as data architecture, integration, warehousing, or analytics and two years of experience with the Cloud.Working knowledge of cloud platforms, Microsoft Azure or similar cloud-hosted databases such as AWS Redshift, Snowflake.Working knowledge of architecting efficient framework and optimization designs for analytics platforms, data warehouse design, virtualization, pipelines, ELT, ETL, SSIS packages. Strong knowledge of Python, and high proficiency to design and develop ELT pipelines using Spark and DatabricksWorking knowledge of Tableau, Business Objects, PowerBI or similar Business Intelligence tools.Working knowledge of handling log or event streaming data sources.Working knowledge of DevOps, DataOps, and Git.Working knowledge of container technologies e.G., Docker, and Kubernetes.Leadership skills to lead data transformation and engineering development across projects, departments, and divisions.Employee BenefitsHealth benefitsWe offer a comprehensive health benefits program that includes:
