- $18.44 - $22.64 per hour**Description**:
The successful applicant should possess:
- Demonstrated knowledge of Canada’s Food Guide and roles and responsibilities under the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Food Handlers Safety Course presented by the Public Health Unit (or ability to obtain)
- 2 years’ experience as a cook, preferably within a daycare or institutional setting
- Understanding of dietary needs of children with special diets/allergies
- Attention to detail enabling responsibility for the cleanliness of the daycare/library
- Current vulnerable sector check (or ability to obtain)
- The ability to work well on own and with others in a team setting
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively
- Excellent customer service orientation and skills
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Trained in emergency First Aid and CPR
The hourly range for this position is $18.44 - $22.64 per hour. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
