You will be working cross-functionally and liaising with stakeholders, ensuring that all aspects of development align with organizational objectives. The Development manager is great at cultivating strong relationships with stakeholders including local engineers, lawyers, city officials, inventors, and community members.What you’re great atInspiring and motivating team members towards a common goalDeveloping and planning projects on a strategic levelPresenting ideas and initiatives to peers and leadersCommunicating at all levels, both verbally and writtenRemaining flexible and adaptive in a fast-paced environmentCross-functional collaboration and communicationWhat you’ll be doingDefining project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives in collaboration with the senior leadership team and internal stakeholdersTracking and overseeing full project schedules to ensure milestones and timelines are being metEstimating the resources and participants required to achieve project goals Ensuring proper financial management of the project, working alongside the Finance and Accounting Providing leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestonesAligning with all project team members to ensure that designs, budgets and schedules are well coordinated and communicatedManaging the day-to-day project activities and resources;
Chairs the project teammeetingsEnsuring that projects and programs are proceeding according to scope, schedule, budget and quality standardsProviding status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating frequently to leadershipEnsuring proper risk management by documenting all risks and employing an effective mitigation strategyDriving innovation and excellence in your projects through continuous improvement initiatives and staying up to date on industry tends and regulations.
