Director Of Care

We are currently seeking a Site Leader (RN or LPN) for 120-LTC community in Nanaimo, BC. Reporting directly to the VP of Operations, the site leader plays a crucial role in supporting the Interdisciplinary Team to deliver safe and high-quality care and services within the Care Home. The position aims to foster a culture of compassion, innovation, and empowerment, underpinned by strong leadership and teamwork.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Ensure the delivery of effective, efficient, and person-centered care and services within a safe and healthy environment, with a focus on continuous quality improvement.-Align Resident care and service delivery with the organization’s philosophy, annual goals, and the organization's mission, vision, and values.-Cultivate a connected culture that promotes collaboration and achieves common goals.-Encourage a collaborative approach among team members to support each other's professional development and enhance service delivery.-Establish positive working relationships with Health Authority contacts, other health service providers, and community agencies.-Promote a proactive approach to performance by providing clear targets, expectations, and regular discussions through the Performance Recognition and Development Program.-Offer coaching and advice to employees to help them meet position expectations.-Optimize occupancy levels and stay compliant with relevant legislation, including Ministry Acts, regulations, policies, procedures, directives, and collective agreements.-Provide leadership in developing innovative programs and services that align with the organization's strategic objectives.QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
-Bachelor's Degree or a Diploma in Nursing or a related healthcare discipline preferred.-Minimum five years' experience in seniors housing or residential care setting, with at least three years in a management or administrative position.-Eligible for membership in a relevant professional association.-Previous experience in a unionized environment preferred.-Proficiency in financial planning, budgeting, financial analysis.Join this dynamic team in making a difference in the lives of our Residents and their families.
