We are looking for a Director, Supply Chain to join our team.The Director, Supply Chain is accountable for the key functions of Merchandise Allocation, Item Forecast and Replenishment, Open to Buy Management and Supply Chain Inventory Flow. The Director develops budgets and determines allocation and replenishment strategies that ensure an optimal balance of inventory to achieve sales, margin and turnover goals. The candidate must be an innovative and dynamic leader who is able to view challenges through financial, operational and visionary perspectives, ultimately shaping the best solution for the customer. As a senior manager position, the Director position is also a part of our Leadership Team.The Director will partner with the leaders of the Merchandising, Logistics, Finance, Ecommerce and Operations departments to develop strategy, align resources, manage risk and maximize opportunities to grow the business. The Director must have a well-rounded understanding of the total business;
financial components and operations, as they play a critical role in various cross functional projects. Strategy Partner with the leadership team to implement and evaluate business strategies and initiatives that support short—and long-term vision, financial strategy, and direction.Proactively develop and drive innovative and results-oriented Merchandising, Planning, Pricing &
Promotions and Supply Chain strategies to support the business plan and goals to drive sales, margin and productivity while managing inventory targetsDirect short and long-term strategies and inventory levels for Supply Chain functionsCollaborate with Merchants and other cross-functional teams to support strategic seasonal merchandise reviews including assortment planning tactics and offers, and inventory flow to achieve targetsBalance merchandise division financial components as determined by performance and strategy to ensure targets are delivered at the division levelRepresent the vision and strategy of Supply Chain in any cross-functional initiativeLeadership and Talent EnhancementTake accountability for outcomes, demonstrate flexibility and resilience in response to constraints and respond constructively to new demands and challengesDevelop and direct the implementation of new tools, processes and best practices to improve business performanceBuild high performing teams by providing support, direction, coaching and leadershipManage the performance and talent development of direct reports Supply ChainPartner with leaders to establish and gain consensus plans for the division, in-line with financial guideline plansPartner with key Vendors to maximize market share and growth trajectoryWork collaboratively with Logistics, Finance, eCommerce and Operations teams monitoring and providing monthly receipt flow and impact to Distribution Centre and StoresDevelop pre-season sales, inventory and selling margin components at the chain, division, department, monthly level utilizing historical data, go-forward strategy and merchant visionDirect short and long-term planning strategies and inventory levels, allocation and replenishment through comprehensive tools and analysis including AGR, POM, forecasting reports, promotional calendars, pre-season inventory, sales analysis, feedback and historical dataManaging a team responsible for All Vendor Orders and Store Replenishment. End to end ownership of Inventory from Vendor to Stores. Both Domestic and Import Inventory flow.Manage online inventory, fulfillment centre inventory readiness and online product content.Monitor sales, inventory and margin in-season, by buying area with reporting collaboration to financial targets, reforecasting as business dictates;
setting realistic expectationsProvide guidance to the team and monitor inventory results as related to assortment, feature space, promotional and reset in-stock levelsApply knowledge of business trends, new product introductions, promotional calendar, calendar shifts and cost structure into building pre-season plansManage clearance and obsolete inventory by proactively recognizing future challenges and recommending exit markdown strategies while forecasting impact to marginSet and maintain balanced inbound and outbound inventory flow within the division to avoid fluctuation to plans;
ensuring proper strategy is in place to deliver resultsDevelop and manage standardized operational planning, flow and work processesManage exception reports to ensure team performance and continued division/departmental successLead and drive flow initiatives to increase efficiencies, inventory turnover and overall productivityQualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree (Business or Finance preferred)Proven solid track record of 10+ years’ experience in Supply Chain leadershipFinancial acumen coupled with strong critical thinkingAdvanced skills required in:
Sales Planning. Inventory Analysis &
Planning.Assortment Optimization. Supply Chain Optimization Allocation ReplenishmentExperience in:
