Distribution Center Manager

Are you ready for a new and exciting leadership opportunity with one of the most successful logistics organizations worldwide? Here at Kuehne+Nagel, our Markham site is looking for a new Distribution Site Manager to join our Contract Logistics team.
** Your Role**:
As the Distribution Site Manager, you will be responsible for providing customer service excellence to our client base via the execution of work processes across the distribution site designed to support efficient, safe and high quality workmanship. You will report to the Contract Logistics Operations Manager.
** Your Responsibilities**:
- Lead / participate in customer negotiations
- Ensure proactive approach to relationship management
- Participate in new business implementation project management
- Participate in bids, tenders and RFPs
- Ensure billing / invoicing accuracy
- Review forecasts monthly reflective of the current and future state of the business, take action to improve negative trends and report deviations to plan
- Set SMART goals and projects to achieve individual, distribution site, and divisional results
- Support employee engagement/retention initiatives, succession planning, and internal promotions within the distribution site.
- Collaborate with Senior Management to ensure efficient, standardized and ‘best in class’ logistics operations
- Promote a culture of safety to ensure all reasonable precautions are taken for the protection of workers
- Support local implementation of KNPS Bronze, Silver and Gold (company production systems) certifications
- Plan long range labor requirements based on sales forecasts and input from direct reports
- Develop space utilization plans to meet prescribed cost and services standards
- Participate and support process specific training and adhere to all work instructions / guidelines established by Kuehne+Nagel to comply with regulatory standard such as ISO and GXP
- Together with the Local Quality Manager, drive QSHE implementation and compliance
- Ensure that all quality and regulatory requirements of Health Canada and other applicable authorities and client requirements are met

**Your Skills and Experiences**:
- Diploma/Degree in International Business, Transportation, Logistics, Customs or a related field preferred
- 4+ years experience in pharmaceutical warehouse leadership, and warehouse inventory in a complex 3PL environment
- 7+ years experience in Contract Logistics / 3PL / Distribution Centre / Warehouse environment
- 3+ years experience handling PnL for entire distribution centre
- Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety and employment standards legislation, and of common workplace hazards and associated controls (Bill C45)
- Knowledge of various production and quality systems (GxP, ISO, Lean, TPS, Six Sigma, etc.)
