The Manager is responsible for Logistics core functions execution in our Vancouver location. The Manager will ensure autonomous management of the people, processes &
procedures, tools &
equipment, and the management of inventory with a continuous improvement approach while supporting and promoting the Distribution Center Associates’ development. The Manager, in coordination with Supervisors from different branches, will assist the National Manager in the execution of the Logistics core functions to support the Distribution Center as ‘’one entity’’ and Corporate Objectives.The Successful Manager will ensure independent execution by levering their judgment, their sense of ownership, and their ability to problem-solve independently and they will coach employees and promote understanding of a customer-centric culture amongst Distribution Center Associates.The qualifications we are looking for:
Min of 5 years’ experience inManagerial/Supervision Role in a Distribution Centre (Overall Management of People;
Processes &
Procedures;
Tools &
Equipment’s)Min of 5 years’ experience in Supervision of Distribution Center OperationsPeople Management skills (leading at least 8 people) &
Team Building skillsManaging DC operations KPI’s SkillsManaging H&
S protocols &
initiative SkillsManaging budgetsExperience in implementing and leading a training program, in Distribution Center EnvironmentPost-Secondary education (Logistics, SCM, or equivalent) is a plusActive Listening skillsSound JudgementHigh sense of ownership and accountabilityStrong problem resolution skillsResourceful with Problem-solving skills (ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently)Continuous Learner &
