As groomers at The Petaway, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks to ensure the well-being and appearance of our furry clients. Some of the key responsibilities include:
Grooming Services:
Performing bathing, brushing, drying, and styling according to client preferences and breed standards. This includes haircuts, nail trims, ear cleaning, and sanitary trims.
Coat Assessment:
Assessing the condition and specific needs of each dog's coat, including determining appropriate shampoos, conditioners, and grooming techniques.
Health Monitoring:
Observing dogs for any signs of discomfort, injury, or skin conditions during the grooming process and promptly reporting any concerns to the pet parents or management.
Customer Service:
Providing exceptional customer service by listening to pet parents' preferences and ensuring their satisfaction with the grooming services. Communicating effectively to address any questions or concerns.
Cleanliness and Sanitation:
Maintaining a clean and organized grooming area, including cleaning and disinfecting grooming tools, equipment, and surfaces after each use. Adhering to proper hygiene practices to ensure a safe and healthy environment for pets and staff.
Record Keeping:
Accurately documenting grooming details, including services provided, specific instructions, and any observations or recommendations for future visits.
Professional Development:
Staying informed about the latest grooming techniques, trends, and industry best practices through continuous learning and professional development opportunities.
Team Collaboration:
Collaborating with other team members, such as receptionists and daycare staff, to ensure a seamless and coordinated experience for pet parents and their dogs.
