**Javelin Technologies, a TriMech company**, is expanding our team and looking for a dedicated **Senior DriveWorks Application Consultant **for our **Professional Services Team**.
**PROFILE**
The DriveWorks Application Consultant role is focused on delivering consulting and support services to satisfy the growing demand among our customers for DriveWorks software and solutions. Application Consultants on the Design Automation team deliver a variety of services to customers, including:
mentoring / consulting services, turnkey implementation services, user interface and workflow design and development, technical support, software installation
And configuration, and classroom (or virtual) training courses.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Gather and document customer engineering requirements related to their design automation needs.
- Analyze and think critically about customer business processes in order to design custom workflows and solutions that automate engineering and design processes.
- Deliver consulting, development, implementation, training, and technical support for DriveWorks software.
- User interface / user experience design and development (input forms, etc.)
- Assist with writing end-user work instructions and documentation related to customer processes in DriveWorks, where required by the customer.
- Create engaging PowerPoint presentations to communicate technical ideas, concepts, and solutions to both customers and internal TriMech team members.
- Assist with project planning and project management (help to develop project plans, tasks, and estimated timelines, assist with weekly status calls, stakeholder communications, project task completion tracking, and project budget monitoring, etc.)
- Occasionally assist the Sales team with selling DriveWorks software and implementation services. This may consist of performing standard or custom demos of DriveWorks or helping with writing estimates and/or Statements of Work for potential implementation projects.
- Assist the TriMech Technical Support team by providing advanced technical support to existing customers on DriveWorks, when required.
- Contribute occasional technical articles and/or record audio/video of software demonstrations for publishing to the TriMech blog and YouTube channel.
- Continuous learning and skills development on new modules and/or features of DriveWorks software as they are released.
**SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**
Technical Skills and Experience Required:
- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or IT Technology, or equivalent job experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of extensive work experience in all aspects of DriveWorks Pro.
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience in mechanical engineering and design.
- Solid understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes and terminology.
- Strong Verbal and written communication skills, as well as outstanding interpersonal skills (individual, group, in person and via electronics media internally and with clients.
- Extensive knowledge of SOLIDWORKS 3D mechanical CAD.
- Production-level experience with installing, configuring, and maintaining complex deployments of at least 3 of the additional modules such as:
AutoPilot, Live, 3D Preview, or DriveApps.
- Extensive SQL experience and experience integrating DriveWorks with ERP systems.
- Act as Lead Consultant and Solution Architect and coach/mentor junior consultants on their projects.
- Lead design and roll out new standards, templates, and processes.
Other Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in working directly with customers on a regular basis.
- Must have access to a vehicle and a Valid Driver's license for any required customer visits.
- Ability to travel to the USA, Canada, or UK for conferences (relevant Citizenship or existing Work Authorization).
Preferred:
- SQL database management and query development skills.
- Project management experience.
- Experience with installing and configuring Microsoft Windows PC's, Windows Server, SQL, and Microsoft IIS.
- Experience with programming in Visual Basic.NET and/or Visual C#.NET or other programming languages
