Responsibilities include estimating effort and cost and ensuring delivery meets time, cost and quality targets. Effective communication with internal and external customers is critical to success. Implementation of continuous improvement activities including metrics, root cause analysis and implementation of process improvement.Responsibilities:
Represent Development Engineering at the Service Executive Meetings and Andon clinics in each businesses (Molds, Hot Runners / Controllers, Machines)Provide the product development teams with leadership in feedback of service issues and impact on current development.Lead and participate in design review meeting, with the potential to conduct design presentations to the CEO and/or COOEnsure the implementation of the Product Development Process and Product Change Process.Provides main engineering interface to outside suppliers/customersDecisions involve interpreting complex data and being responsible for plans, methods and coordinator of a projectGiven considerable independence to achieve specific objectivesDevelops and manages project timelines, resource plans and budgetsInterview and hire of new team membersCoach, develop and lead team members to their full potential. Encourage team member to think, organize and lead while providing them with development opportunitiesEvaluate and review team member performance while developing potential succession plans.Facilitate communication between business unit and team membersMay participate in or lead continuous improvement activitiesQualifications:
Post secondary education (University engineering degree preferred) or 5-10 years of equivalent work experience5 years of engineering experienceLeadership experience preferredPrevious project management experience an assetSolid design engineering skillsStrong knowledge of Root Cause analysis and troubleshootingStrong knowledge of Product Development ProcessUnderstands Quality function deployment processesStrong knowledge of Husky products, tools, standards, processes and technology and customer baseStrong project, time management skills and ability to delegate tasks and projectsStrong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a teamStrong decision-making and judgmentExcellent communication skills (verbal, written, interpersonal and presentation)Strong sense of integrityDemonstrates high degree of flexibility and embraces changing prioritiesPrevious hands on design experienceHusky Technologies TM offers a competitive compensation and benefits package and excellent opportunities for growth and advancement.
