We are currently looking for an, experienced and safety conscious Equipment Hauling Driver to work seasonally in a full-time capacity, in and around the city of Edmonton. In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient &
safe delivery or pick up of equipment required for various road building processes. You will ensure a high level of satisfaction by receiving &
fulfilling all equipment orders according to job/project demands. You will also be working closely with the Equipment Dispatcher &
Logistics Foreman to ensure the delivery of equipment is achieved in the most efficient &
professional manner.
**Responsibilities**:
- Driving equipment hauling truck in the most efficient &
safest manner followingtransportation driving laws
- Safe Loading and Unloading of various pieces of equipment
- Perform the necessary pre/post trip inspections on vehicles
- Work with company to ensure safety compliance is adhered to at all times in accordance with Occupational Health &
Safety
- Regular Communication with the Equipment Dispatcher &
various on-site Foreman
- Attend and contribute to weekly safety meetings
- Daily/weekly greasing, maintenance &
washing of trucks &
trailers
- Other duties as required.
**Qualifications**:
- Minimum of 3-years experience in equipment hauling in a medium to large organization within a municipality/City
- Completion of Grade 12 or high school diploma
- Previous experience in hauling of construction equipment (paving, milling, concrete, base)
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions &
long hours
- Ability to utilize smartphones, WhatsApp and possess some computer competence
- Competent Driver/Defensive Driver
- Ability to work independently or with little supervision
- Willingness and ability to work extended hours and weekends
- Some knowledge of the municipal road building industry an asset
- Familiarity &
experience with city driving and surrounding areas considered an asset
**Required Certifications and Licenses**:
- Valid Class 1 driver’s license with a clean drivers abstract is required
- Load Securement Certificate would be an asset
- Pre/Post-Trip training required
**Additional Information**:
- This is a full-time seasonal position
- This position is eligible for over-time
- Some travel outside of Edmonton may be required
- Training will be provided for various activities

- Potential on call work during the winter months during snow removal and early spring sweeping season.
