Safety is a priorityYour day-to-day· Design pre-engineered floor systems using I-Struct or Mitek software· Identify and flag any design issues or discrepancies noticed during the design process· Communicate with KOTT Sales and Production teams to complete estimates in accordance with project timelines· Track work assignments using KOTT’s Enterprise Resource Management softwareWhat you need to succeedExperience &
Education· Two years’ experience as a Floor System Designer (or designer of other framing components) working with Engineered Wood Products is preferred· Experience working on a construction job site is considered an asset· A Civil Engineering Technologist or Architectural Technologist Diploma is preferred, but equivalent work experience will be consideredSkills &
Qualifications· Experience with I-Struct and/or Mitek design software is preferred· Knowledge of I-Joists, LVL, and other Engineered Wood Products· Strong general computer skills required, including experience with MS Office· Ability to read and interpret building plans and drawings is mandatory· Familiarity with the Ontario Building Code· Fluency in English is required;
