Expat Control Room Operator (3-Month Contract)

The CompanyGlobe 24-7 in partnership with a key client in West Africa are working together to source experienced and qualified talent to join their team. The RoleThe ideal candidate will have previous experience working as a Control Room Operator in a gold processing plant or similar industrial environment. They should have a strong focus on plant operations and the ability to transfer knowledge to local plant personnel. Please note this is a 3-month contract. The ResponsibilitiesOperate and monitor plant processes from a central control room using Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems. Interpret and respond to process parameters, alarms, and abnormal conditions to ensure optimal plant performance. Maintain accurate and detailed logs of plant operations, including production data, process changes, and equipment issues. Collaborate with plant personnel to troubleshoot and resolve process issues in a timely manner. Conduct regular inspections of plant equipment and instrumentation to ensure proper functioning. Transfer knowledge and provide training to local plant personnel to enhance their understanding of plant processes and control strategies. The RequirementsFluent in French and EnglishPrevious experience working as a Control Room Operator in a gold processing plant or similar industrial environment. Familiarity with process control systems, including DCS and SCADA systems. Proficiency in operating and monitoring plant processes from a central control room. Knowledge of plant instrumentation, equipment, and control strategies. Ability to interpret and respond to process parameters, alarms, and abnormal conditions.
