**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Fabricate and assemble structural metal products, frameworks and shells.
- Use precision instruments, hand tools, power tools and other machinery and equipment
- Read and interpret CAD drawings, work orders, measurements and related documentation.
- Cut material to size, using shears, knives, cutters, scissors, router, or saw.
- Trim, drill, ream, countersink, grind and finish parts to specifications, using templates, hand tools,
- and power tools.
- Ensure all parts are fitted and screwed in properly.
- Ensure that quality control standards are always met.
- Verify dimensions of parts, using precision instruments, such as dial indicators, micrometers, and calipers.
- Operate different tools, such as hand routing, drilling and cutting, as well as troubleshoot
- equipment problems when necessary.
- Operate fabricating machines and precision instruments such as rolling machines, shears, pemserter press, stud welding machines, spot welders.
- Build prototypes and test products.
- Ensure that equipment is operational by handling preventative maintenance on hand and power saws, planers, lathes, joiners, shapers, drills, sanders and a variety of hand tools, performing regular quality checks, and calling for repairs when necessary.
- Clean equipment and maintain a tidy shop and work site area.
- Assemble, rework and repair metal and plastic products.
- Perform all work to meet quality and safety standards and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
**Skills and Qualifications**:
- Ability to understand oral and written instructions of a technical nature.
- Effective English reading and writing communication skills.
- Good mechanical skills and abilities.
- Ability to operate different tools, and to troubleshoot equipment problems.
- Good interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Good Organization skills.
- Reading CAD Drawings.
- Hand routing, drilling and cutting.
- Good communication skills.
- Some fabrication experience.
