**QUALIFICATION**
This position requires the completion of a diploma in Community Support Worker, Family Services, Educational Assistant or other related education, and/or a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar field. If applicable, this position requires a minimum of 2 years continuous sobriety.
A valid driver's license is required for this position.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES**
**A.** **ADMINISTRATION DUTIES**
A) Accurate and secure file management.
B) Accurate and timely completion of support notes.
C) Accurate and timely completion of incident reports.
**B.** **CLIENT RELATIONS**
A) Provide support, modeling and mentoring to mothers and children with complex behavioral, emotional, and mental health concerns.
B) Monitor families to ensure their needs are being met (physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, and cultural).
C) Provide mothers and children with mental and emotional support as required, through listening, empathy, and patience.
D) Model and guide mothers with positive interaction with children.
E) Resolve conflicts and crisis situations in a calm and patient manner.
F) Model and support basic life skill development such as chores and meal preparation.
G) Support and guide positive parenting skill development.
H) Outreach support for mothers and children, including assistance completing paperwork and scheduling appointments.
I) Transportation of mothers and children to and from health and wellness related appointments, when transportation is not available.
J) Motivate mothers to pursue their recovery program as they see it.
K) Provide personal support and care when necessary.
**C.** **SUPERVISION AND SUPPORT**
A) Supervise and promote model positive parenting behaviors to ensure that children remain in the safe care of their mothers and that they are not at risk of harm.
B) Monitor mothers to ensure that they are following the rules as laid out in the conditions of residency.
B) Provide respite while mothers attend peer support meetings.
D) Contact the mother’s Case Worker or Management when there exists the potential of harm to either children or self.
E) Ensure the completion and filing of incident reports for submission to the Family Services Worker and Management.
**D.** **HEALTH AND SAFETY**
A) Ensure the health and safety of all mothers and children, staff, volunteers, and others visiting the home.
B) Monitor mothers to ensure they are not under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
C) Complete drug testing for mothers when required.
D) Ensure mothers adhere to program policies and procedures related to Health and Safety.
E) Ensure that the organization and all staff are aware of and adhere to current and relevant legislation (i.E., Occupational Health and Safety).
**E.** **OTHER REQUIREMENTS**
A) Other duties as required.

Available shifts and compensation:
We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $19.00 - $21.00/hour.
