Help us feed the Yukon
Sundog Retreat has transitioned into a training farm welcome to Sundog Veggies!
We are looking for youth ages - to help make our Yukon communities food secure by producing local vegetables, delivered daily to local markets and to local First Nation Elders as well as the FoodBank.
We currently have a fun team of 9 vegetable farm apprentices and are looking for 3 more. Activities include hands-on training in growing and processing vegetables, keeping and tending to bees in our own apiary, landscaping processes, earth-bag building and other construction projects. Also many opportunities to learn from farm mentors and community partners.
Positions are full-time Mon-Fri, 9-5 until early. Some evening and weekend hours be required. Wages are $./hour depending on experience and initiative.
Participants Confidential to be residing in the Yukon, have safety work boots and transportation to the job site located min north of Whitehorse.
