**Job Overview:
FARMERS MARKET &
FESTIVAL VENDOR**
Travel to various markets within the Fraser Valley and Metro Vancouver area. Enjoy the outdoor market scene, serve goods, feel a part of the community, and work with our family owned company.
Meet at our shop, prepare and load the Market Van. Drive to location, unload and setup. Promote sales and interact with shoppers. Cleanup and tear-down. Return to the shop to care for and store equipment.
**IMPORTANT:
Please read the following descriptions of the duties**
**1. Must have previous experience driving larger vehicles (ex:
Trucks, Cargo Van, etc.)**
**2. This position requires loading, packing to prevent sliding, strapping down, and unloading equipment, as well as maneuvering equipment onto/off of a lift, and maneuvering it into place inside the van. This task takes approximately 15 - 20 minutes, and must be performed 2 - 4 times in one shift. Set up/Tear down of the equipment is usually performed once each, taking approximately 20 - 30 minutes each.**
**REQUIREMENTS AND JOB DUTIES**
- **You must be able to lift and maneuver heavy equipment - In Detail:
Lifting boxes weighing up to 40lbs. Loading/unloading equipment onto the Market Van's hydraulic lift-gate, dollies, and then setting up equipment.**
- **Must be able to set up by yourself. (We'll show you how.)**
- **Ability to drive a cargo van, preferably with a class 5 license, and have a good driver factor rating with ICBC**
- **Load, organize, and maintain equipment**

*Hours &
Availability:
Farmers Markets run all year round! Our busy season starts late spring and over summer, with the busiest times from July - September.
- Shifts would be 1 - 3 times (7 - 24 hours ) per week from March - October
SHIFTS NEEDED:
- Wednesday 12pm - 7:
30pm
- Thursday Afternoon shifts 1pm - 8pm
- and Saturday shifts start time ranging from 6:
45am based on Event/Location
- _Bonus:
Availability as Back up for Sunday Events if needed_
Additional Duties:
- Ensure Market Equipment is maintained and kept in good working order (Ex:
Refueling vehicles, bringing vehicle maintenance concerns to the attention of management, maintaining a clean and organized trailer, cleaning and maintaining equipment etc.)
- Prepare and Serve Hot Food
- Record Daily Sales and Inventory Counts
