Anova Resources Inc. is a junior crude oil and natural gas exploration and production company headquartered in Calgary, Alberta. We are focused on sustainable, long-term growth through the exploration, development, and production of high-quality, conventional oil-focused assets located in southeastern Saskatchewan.Founded in 2017 with less than one section of undeveloped land, Anova has since grown organically to over 70 gross sections producing over 2,000 boe/d. We are privately owned primarily by our management team and Board of Directors.DescriptionWe are currently seeking a full-time Field Operator for Anova’s Core assets located in southeastern Saskatchewan, including our primary Hastings asset located North of the town of Oxbow, Saskatchewan. The Field Operator is responsible for monitoring Anova’s wells and facilities, optimizing production, maintaining regulatory compliance, coordinating with Anova’s operations and production team and general troubleshooting. The successful candidate will have 5-10+ years of direct work experience in field operations roles. The Field Operator’s job duties will include:
Ensure wells and facilities are maintained to Anova and Regulatory standardsManage safe and efficient operations and routine maintenance of wells and gathering systemsMonitor the field to ensure production runtime is optimal, and provide effective troubleshootingWork with construction Superintendent on new well and facility planningNew well commissioning and start-upPreform minor maintenance and housekeepingEnsure production is entered timely and accurately in Production Manager (FDC)Work with Production Engineering to troubleshoot well/downhole problemsAssess operating activities and identify opportunities to reduce operating costsEnsure compliance with HSE and other regulations, including participating in safety meetings, packer testing, lease inspections, inactive well management, etc.Assist Production Accounting on month end reporting queriesQualifications and ExperienceThe ideal candidate will possess the following:
5+ years experience with field operations and oil batteries is considered an assetTeam player with strong communication skillsSelf-motivated, open-minded and results orientedStrong computer and production data entry skillsAbility to troubleshoot and handle issues as they arise;
mechanical aptitude is a mustStrong operational background and ability maintaining high safety standardsValid Class 5 driver’s license and up-to-date safety tickets (First Aid, H2S, etc.)Must reside in southeastern Saskatchewan
