Field Service Technicians perform a variety of tasks such as servicing, troubleshooting, installation, commissioning and repair of equipment. A Field Service Technician is required to travel to well site locations that are located **regionally or internationally**. Focus of this Field Service Technician will be in mechanical service.
**Essential Job Responsibilities**:
- Material Handling
- moving material including the use of overhead cranes, Jib cranes or Forklifts.
- Mechanical and/or Electrical/Electronics servicing, troubleshooting, installation, commissioning and repair.
- Cleaning and management of assigned tools and vehicle.
- Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
- 24-hour on-call duties required at given times.
- Maintain strong business relationship with existing clients.
- Communicate with a FS Manager or Supervisor regularly, on all aspects of service.
- Complete reporting, job and billing paper work.
- Other duties as assigned.
**Qualification Requirements **_**(Minimum Education and Experience)**_**:
- Knowledge and experience with oilfield equipment and service work is an asset.
- Experience with schematics and blueprints.
- Excellent Communication skills (verbal and written).
- Valid driver’s license (Class 5) and **Passport**.
- Alberta Industry Training
- Apprenticeship/Journeyperson program an asset. Millwright or Heavy Duty Mechanic preferred.
- Bachelor degree, Technical diploma or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering an asset.
