**Job Summary**
This position fulfils vital payroll and finance functions for the organization, and primarily provides support to the Finance Manager. Essential to the function of our administrative team, the Finance Assistant processes payroll, organizes accounts payable, manages banking transactions, assists with human resources, and supply and equipment procurement practices. The worker will also complete other administrative projects as required.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Processes invoices and all accounts payable payments in a timely manner
- Code and distribute invoices for payment approval utilizing approved budgets
- Reconcile and maintain all vendor records and accounts
- Prepare and invoice internal charges for Physician overhead and admin fees
- Prepare and make bank deposits
- Reconcile and process petty cash
- Responsible for bi-weekly payroll up to and including year-end process
- Maintain vacation leaves, RRSP contributions, benefits and health maintenance program
- Coordinates employee benefit administration
- Filing and record keeping for all financial documents
- Assist with year-end processes and reconciliations
- Maintain employee personnel files
- Process and distribute incoming and outgoing mail
- Receive and record donations
- Prepare funder and ad hoc reports as required
- Other duties as assigned
**Qualifications**
- Relevant accounting education and office experience (Bachelor of Commerce preferred), equivalencies will be considered
- Proficiency in Sage 300 and ADP payroll (minimum of 3 years' experience)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Security Clearance
