We are seeking a skilled, reliable general labourer to join our growing company. In this position, you will be working alongside the construction staff.
**General Labour Duties &
Responsibilities**
- Unload tools, prepare building site materials, stack building materials, and set up equipment
- Follow project instructions from construction supervisor
- Assist in directing traffic safely around the construction site
- Use construction and maintenance tools and equipment to complete daily tasks
- Follow all health and safety regulations onsite
- Ensure proper PPE use
- Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner
- Complete daily log
- Assist in building scaffolding and temporary structures as needed
- Safely operate a variety of tools including drills, saws, nail guns, levels, etc.
- Ability to demolish walls and temporary structures.
- Aid contractors (i.E., craft workers, electricians, painters) as needed
- Proactively assists carpenters with general carpentry tasks
- Maintain clean worksite, equipment, vehicles, indoor and outdoor locations including office and work areas, and collecting and removing waste materials.
- Ensure construction equipment and tools are cleaned and stored properly
- Capable of learning through on-the-job training
- Any Other duties as required
**Education, Experience and Qualifications Requirements**
- 2 years required in the Construction Industry or related areas
- High school diploma and/or trade certificate
- First Aid/CPR, Working at Heights, and WHMIS certification
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements**
- Experience in industrial, commercial, and institutional construction (ICI) work
- Valid driver’s licence required, own car an asset
- Ability to multi-task
- Flexibility to work overtime, evenings and weekends as required.
- Must be able to work well on a team, but also work independently.
- Ability to present a professional image. Must be punctual and reliable.
- Occasional heavy lifting required exceeding 50kg.
- Ability to bend, stretch, lift, push, pull and carry, walk on uneven ground
- Must be comfortable climbing up tall ladders, working at elevated levels
- Excellent interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management
- English and French fluency a plus

$18.00-$25.00 per hour

All necessary PPE against covid-19 is supplied by FTC, disinfecting of surfaces, physical distancing, temperature checks, Covid-19 fit for duty questionnaire completed by all workers, Covid-19 policy, daily inspections, and weekly risk assessments.
