Groomer I is an entry level slope grooming position. The positions will perform standard grooming duties on a nightly basis, under the guidance of Team Lead, Grooming &
Supervisor, Heavy Equipment. Groomer I will develop the skills and techniques required to perform all slope grooming duties at Blue Mountain Resorts on time and to the highest standards.
**WHAT YOU WILL DO**:
- Groom primarily green and blue runs and at times assist Groomer Operators - II, Team Leads and Managers on Duty with more difficult terrain and builds
- Perform pre shift circle checks and paperwork - post shift duties including housekeeping duties and mandatory paperwork
- Recognize and report equipment issues and property damage
- Work with a GPS system to improve decision making and increase efficiency
- Recognize and report or repair potential safety issues including but not limited to lighting, signage, padding and/or poor skiing/boarding surfaces.
- Maintain a good working relationships and open communication with Snowmaking, Slope Maintenance, Patrol, Lifts, Terrain Park, Events and other on-hill staff.

- $20.50/HR.**
**WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU**:
- Previous grooming experiences an asset
- Previous experience with heavy equipment an asset
- Mechanical skills - an asset
- Knowledge of Resort winter terrain can also be an asset.
- Valid G License in good standing
