**GROUNDS MAINTENANCE &
LANDSCAPING, VICTORIA HARBOUR RESORT**
The grounds maintenance technician will keep all equipment in good repair with a minimum of downtime by providing day-to-day maintenance of the property. And to complete maintenance work orders from all departments on a timely basis by following standard operating procedures. Continually work towards and support the improvement of engineering service to guests, other departments, and fellow staff.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES**:
- Responsible for the ground’s maintenance and landscaping of the property
- Responsible for the cleaning, repairs and maintenance of all resort buildings
- Interacting with customers on a daily basis with ability to communicate professionally and effectively deliver exceptional customer service.
- Pool maintenance including cleaning, reporting and inspections.
- Responsible in maintaining all Health &
Safety aspects of the Resort and Resort Buildings
- Ensuring ongoing communication with Maintenance Manager
- Responsible for cleaning work area, cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment.
- Responsible for courteous, efficient response at all times.
- Operate within the applicable Occupational Health &
Safety legislation and company policies at all times.
- Completion of work orders as required
**EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE**:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
- Valid drivers license
- Current pool operators certificate preferred.
**SKILLS &
ABILITIES**:
- Must be willing to take the pool certification course at the beginning of employment.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Physically fit;
ability to lift, push and pull up to 25lbs frequently and up to 50lbs infrequently;
ability to work at heights
- Excellent oral &
written communication skills
- Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and organizational skills

$16.00-$18.00 per hour
