HIAB Mobile Crane Operator
**Team and Location**:
Ultramar | Brechin, Ontario
**Position Summary**:
The HIAB Mobile Crane Operator works as part of the Service team to assist with the relocation and removal of Propane Tanks in the community we service. This includes working in the yard to hoist new 100lbs propane tanks onto your truck, delivering to the location and removing the old propane tank. Also known as a picker driver, this role is responsible for the safe, proper and efficient completion of tasks and operation of the vehicle, within Company policy while providing exceptional customer service. Performing all job functions in a safe manner, including using PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and reporting any unsafe acts when identified will be the hallmark of success in this role.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Participate in the daily team safety meeting at the start of each day.
- Work with the dispatcher and supervisor throughout the day as you complete your calls.
- Receive your run detailing which tanks (type and size) need to be relocated where.
- Load tanks onto the truck in the yard with the assistance of the yard attendant when needed.
- Deliver tanks to customer locations and remove old tanks by taking them back to the yard.
- Ensure all trip logs are up to date and submitted on time.
- Occasionally assist with the delivery of fuel / propane (full training provided).
- Complete all company provided training promptly.
- Work in a safe manner following all company and industry safety standards.
- Work as part of a team to ensure goals are met or exceeded and customers always satisfied.
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- Positive attitude and a strong focus on providing exception customer service.
- Valid DZ License required.
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience preferred.
- Clean Drivers Abstract and CVOR, both in Good Standing.
- ** We provide full training for Gas License and how to operate the Hiab Crane.**:
- Team player with a willingness to take on other tasks when needed.
- Able to lift a minimum of 60 lbs frequently.
- Comfortable with the physical and outdoor nature of the job.
- Proven track record of safe work practices.
