English Level 4-AdvancedPlease submit a Spanish Resume and Statement of InterestOpen to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents of Canada OnlyThe Volunteer’s RoleFundación ACUA and Cuso International have been championing the advancement of women's public policies in the mid-Pacific region, where the municipalities are presently in a technical phase that requires the creation of finalized public policy documents per the public policy cycle.Your support will involve creating detailed implementation strategies and actionable plans designed to empower women in these areas to spearhead the execution of the public policies after approval by the Municipal Council.Accordingly, the aim of the activities outlined in this work plan is to provide precise compliance and technical support to meet these particular needs aligned with the ongoing processes in these regions.Apply today to make a difference!As a volunteer, you will:
Review public policy documents on women in the municipalities of Guapi, Timbiquí, Lopez de Micay and El Charco and the advocacy processes. Formulate a work and action plan with each community in conjunction with other Cuso volunteers based on the needs presented.Support the fine-tuning of the document/guide for the implementation of the Public Policy on Women, taking into account the municipal, departmental and national development plans. In addition to this, the Development Programs with a Territorial Approach (PDET) and corresponding legal frameworks should be included.Creation of tools (guides, training, routes, etc.) to support the implementation of women's public policies and action and advocacy plans in each municipality. Diagnose, create, pilot, evaluate, improve, finalize.Essential Requirements:
Experience working at the community level with women in vulnerable situations.Experience leading training processes with women in vulnerable situations.Essential Background:
Degree or diploma in public policy, political science, government, development studies, gender studies or other.Project management or knowledge in results-based management.Essential Background:
Work experience or studies in gender, advocacy and/or sustainable development.Knowledge of economic development processes and practices with a social and environmental approach.Experience in communication roles.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Experience with social platforms.
