- **Be a Friendly Face and Voice**:
- arriving at work on time to get the restaurant/lounge/cafe set up and ready to open, keeping your work area clean and attractive throughout the meal period. In your role you may also handle room service orders as well as cash/credit as you take on the duties of cashier.
- **Be a Host** - taking reservations, seating guests, pouring water, making helpful suggestions, answering questions, remembering names, offering a friendly smile - and maybe even a weather forecast - it is all part of the job!

Security Agent -** follow your hotel's established safety and security policies &
procedures. Anticipate problems and call management as needed.
**Requirements**:
**Position Summary**:
The main functions of the Host/Hostess are to facilitate the prompt and accurate seating and service of all guests, accept payment for food and beverages, and make proper change and helps servers in assuring quality customer service
**Accountabilities**:
The host/hostess must meet and greet guests in a warm friendly manner, making them feel comfortable and welcome in our establishment. Must be organized and have the ability to prioritize and keep control and a smile when pressure arises. Must have the ability to multi task and keep busy at all times.
**Qualification Standards**
**Education &
Experience**:
- Previous experience in a restaurant setting preferred
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
**Physical Requirements**:
- Long hours sometimes required
- Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
- Ability to work under variable temperatures and noise levels
- Near Vision - The ability to see details at close range
- Ability to bend, stretch, twist or reach with your body and arms
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for lengthy periods of time
**Duties and Functions**:
**Essential**:
- Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service oriented manner
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with New Castle standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working
- Comply at all times with New Castle standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations
- Greet and seat guests at appropriate tables in a timely manner
- Provide guests with menus
- Greet guests and seat them at tables or in waiting areas
- Assign patrons to tables suitable for their needs
- Prepare tables for meals, including setting up items such as linens, silverware, and glassware

- Inspect dining and serving areas to ensure cleanliness and proper set up
- Speak with patrons to ensure satisfaction with food and service and to respond to complaints
- Receive and record patrons dining reservations
- Maintain contact with kitchen staff, management, and serving staff to ensure that dining details are handled properly
- Inform patrons of establishment specialties and features
- Actively looking for ways to help people
- Be aware of guests needs, assist in providing a pleasant dining experience
- Collect money or credit cards from guests and servers as needed
- Be up to date on all guest services, promotions and events in the Hotel
- Assist with bussing dishes, side work and or keeping a tidy appearance in the outlet as necessary
- Accurately complete daily cash out report
