Freson Bros., an Alberta-owned and operated fresh food retail chain, has a new opportunity for Human Resources professionals to join the Stony Plain Operations Office team. Reporting to the Human Resources Specialist, the Human Resources Coordinator will focus on supporting the 16 Store locations in Onboarding and Recruiting.
- Completion of a post-secondary Human Resources program, or related discipline
- Minimum 2 years of HR experience
- Proficient Microsoft Office and Google Suite skills
- Focused on Customer Service Excellence
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and focused on active listening
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Passionate about assisting others
- Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks/activities
- Interest in personal growth and professional development
- Experienced with HCM systems (Ceridian-Dayforce is an asset)
- Experience using Indeed and LinkedIn
- Ability to travel within the province when needed (approx. 10-20%)
- Alberta Class 5 Driver’s License
**Role &
Responsibilities**:
- Work with Operations Office and Store Level Managers in the Recruitment process including:
- Update and maintain job descriptions for posting on numerous recruiting platforms (e.G. Indeed)
- Assist the HR Specialist in store-based support (e.G. facilitating local Hiring Fairs)
- Manage new Team Members through the Onboarding and Orientation Programs:
- Provide support for Store Administrators and Team Members during the Onboarding phase
- Assist the HR Specialist in facilitating Onboarding and/or Orientation Changes
- Conducts Orientation for Operations Office and Stores when needed
- Monitor the implementation of the employee performance review and career development programs
- Track the completion of all 30 / 70 Day and regular Performance reviews for new Team Members
- Assist the HR Specialist in managing the employee recognition and rewards programs
- Assist in the development, implementation, and awareness of existing and new Company Policies
- Assist the HR Specialist in managing all Employee and Labour Relations programs (i.E. disciplinary actions, formal investigations)
- Maintains and prepares reporting, and ad hoc reporting when needed

$53,000-$63,000
