POSITION OVERVIEWThe Human Resources Director will play an integral role in the delivery and execution of company’s HR strategy and practices and serve as a business partner to key leaders with the shared corporate goals and values in mind. The Human Resources Director will lead a small team of HR professionals, providing guidance, support, and advice on a variety of HR disciplines. The Human Resources Director will leverage their HR and business expertise to provide in-depth guidance, advice, and coaching in the areas of change management, driving high performance, organizational design and effectiveness, leadership effectiveness to drive employee engagement, mid-and-long-term workforce planning, and resolving escalated employee relations matters.The Human Resources Director is:

Travel to branches within British Columbia may be required.RESPONSIBILITIESHR Programs &
Services· Work closely with the other HR department leaders to evaluate, assess, and drive HR programs, iniatives and practices to position Waypoint as a top employer.· Ensure HR policies, programs and practices are in compliane with legislation and best practices.· Support and empower various committees within the organization and assist with project implementations and communications.· Support key leadership recruitment to ensure we continually hire quality talent for our teams.· Identify, lead and develop innovative HR practices to support the unique needs of Waypoint and other Navacord partners, as required.Employee Relations· Lead and resolve complete ER issues on behalf of the company, including complex performance management issues, complaints, disputes and disciplinary matters, ensuring fair treatment and compliance with the company’s policies and employment legislation.· Monitor the trends in employment practices and update policies and programs, as required, to proactively minimize ER issues.· Coach HR Advisors and people managers on ER issues to enable effective issues resolution.HR Information Management &
Reporting· Lead and provide subject matter expertise on HR data, records and information, ensuring accuracy and consistency across the various business groups.· Lead the development of HR reports and workforce analysis to inform resource planning, HR strategies and program development.· Analyze trends and devise recommendations to leadership utilizing findings from recruitment, turnover, exit interview data, and engagement surveys.HR Leadership· Lead, develop and manage a team of HR Advisors, ensuring alignment and consistency in HR practices across various business groups.· Partner with the VP, HR to develop, build and execute on the HR strategic road map.· Contribute to the continuous improvement and development of the overall HR department.· Train, provide guidance and mentor junior HR team members, whether direct reports or others.HR Business Partnership· Support in a broad range of front-line HR functions that impact the entire lifecycle of employees of assigned client groups, including newly acquired or integrated employees following M&
A activity· Act as a keypartner to the business in driving effective people decisions that maximize business performance. This includes but is not limited to talent management, employee relations, performance management, compliance and total rewards.REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Human Resources, Business, a related discipline and/or a HR designation.· 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resources positions.· Specialized training in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, safety and training.· Advanced MS Office skills:
Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint· Active affiliation with appropriate Human Resources networks and organizations and ongoing community involvement preferred.· Prior experience with mergers and acquisitions and part of a growing company and team.· Ability to travel within British Columbia to locations.· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.· High attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to juggle, prioritize and re-prioritize competing tasks and demands of the business.· Experience in the Insurance industry is preferred.Waypoint is actively committed to supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion.
