**Timiskaming Home Support** is growing and we are looking to add to the team. The **_Human Resources Generalist_** will plan and execute all Human Resources functions across the Agency. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer the **_Human Resources Generalist _**will be responsible for recruitment, performance management, labour relations, legislative compliance, and health &
safety.
**PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Lead the recruitment and retention initiatives to meet Agency needs
- Onboard new hires to ensure both legislative and role specific training needs are met
- Lead all HR related programs and projects
- Provide guidance and recommendations to the management team on HR related best practices compliance and legislation
- Complete workplace investigations as required
- Participate in health &
safety initiatives as required
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to meet the Agency needs
- Develop and conduct training programs related to HR policies and organizational practices
- WSIB Claims Management
- Administer employee attendance and disability management programs, including return to work
- Offer thought-leadership regarding people related strategy and execution
- Process and maintain employee records to ensure accuracy and confidentiality
- Develop job descriptions and associated compensation strategy
- Provide support to the Chief Executive Officer during Union negotiations and grievance issues
- Provide effective performance feedback through employee recognition, rewards, and disciplinary action
- Occasional local travel required
**EXPERIENCE &
QUALIFICATIONS**:
- University degree or College Diploma in Human Resources Management or a related field of study
- Minimum 2 years previous experience in a Human Resources role, leadership experience considered an asset
- CHRP/ CHRL designation, or in progress considered an asset
- Payroll experience considered an asset
- Business acumen and professionalism
- Knowledge and experience with ESA, OHSA, Human Rights Code etc.
- Conflict management skills
- Labour relations experience considered an asset
- Works well under pressure and manages stressful situations with ease
- Organized, efficient, and results-driven
- Strong interpersonal skills
